Moda Circolare is now offering the Bee Stamp of Approval for fashion and apparel brands. The Bee Stamp of Approval is to identify fashion and apparel brands that are sustainable and eco-friendly.
How brands can acquire the Bee Stamp of Approval
This stamp is only issued to fashion and apparel brands that can achieve over an 80% rating in our sustainability assessment. The Bee Stamp is difficult to attain, however with time and commitment, brands can get the Bee Stamp of Approval. The Bee Stamp of Approval is meant only for small to mid-sized brands.
To achieve this Stamp of Approval, the process begins with an initial extensive sustainability assessment. If the brand does not achieve an 80% rating, a roadmap is designed and outlined that shows where there is opportunity for improvement. The Bee Stamp of Approval is used to identify sustainable brands.
The Assessment Process
When we conduct our assessment we look at governance of the brand, environmental issues, social and ethical issues, transparency and circularity of the brand. Over 70 detail questions are asked and used to evaluate a brands commitment to sustainability.
Time it takes to achieve
The time it takes to acquire the stamp depends on how the brand scores on the initial assessment. It also depends on how committed the brand to improving. The timing can vary from 3 weeks to 4 months.
What the Bee Stamp of Approval Indicates
When a brand receives the Bee Stamp, it means that customers and stakeholders can be assured that the brand is making a significant commitment to various sustainability initiatives. During the assessment, supply chains will be analyzed for environmental and social and ethical impacts. The stamp also indicates that the brand achieved at least an 80% on the assessment. It also indicates that the brand has committed to continual improvement.
